Cinco de Mayo

Celebrated Cinco de Mayo at El Cuscatleco Restaurant II. This was the cheese papusas. I know, papusas are Salvadoran and Cinco de Mayo is a regional Mexican celebration (primarily in the state of Puebla). Cinco de Mayo is Spanish for the 5th of May. The date is significant as it commemorate the Mexican army's victory over the French forces at the Battle of Puebla on the 5th of May. In the United States it is observed nationwide as a celebration of Mexican heritage and pride. Deanna  and I celebrate this day because it gives us an excuse to drink Margaritas and eat Latin American food. Viva la vida loca!!
